MUSIC – BASQUE CHORAL CONCERT
ANGLET – 9 July 2026
A concert featuring the Errepika and Denbora Pasa choirs. Founded over 30 years ago within the Lespès Association in Anglet, the mixed-voice Errepika Choir has continued to grow and now brings together around fifty singers. Since 2018, it has been conducted by Robert Estagnan. He also directs Denbora Pasa, a male vocal ensemble established in the early 2000s by a group of singers from the Errepika Choir. Made up of around fifteen members, the ensemble performs traditional and festive four-part songs, mainly in the Basque language, either a cappella or accompanied by flute and guitar. For this special concert, Errepika and Denbora Pasa will join voices to share the richness and emotion of their repertoire with the audience, performing a selection of beautiful works with passion and artistry. GRAND CHISTERA SPORT
BIARRITZ – Parc Mazon Fronton – July 9, 2026
Grand Chistéra—a cousin of the spectacular *cesta punta*—combines elegance, virtuosity, and technical skill. It invites you on a journey into the heart of Basque tradition. Two teams of three players face off outdoors on a 75-meter court, returning that elusive ball against a single front wall: the *fronton*.

Essentielles Festival 2026
Vieux-Boucau – July 11 & 12, 2026
The Essenti’Elles festival will take place on July 11 and 12, 2026, in Vieux-Boucau (Landes); it is the first festival in France dedicated exclusively to female-led choreography. For its second edition in 2026, the Essenti’Elles festival continues its mission: celebrating the diversity and boldness of female choreographic creation. Vieux-Boucau will come alive with eleven dance performances staged throughout the village—from the market to the lakeside, and from the beach to the sports hall. Dance will take over public spaces, surprise passersby, and bring generations together. This edition will also feature the special participation of *danseuse étoile* (principal dancer) Mathilde Froustey as the festival’s artistic director. She will perform accompanied by the exceptional pianist Jeremy Hababou.

BIARRITZ PIANO FESTIVAL #17
Biarritz: July 27 – August 7, 2026
In Biarritz, the piano settles in for the summer, gracing the most beautiful coastal spots—from the Espace Bellevue to the Casino, from the Lighthouse to the Cité de l’Océan, and even the skatepark, as if the piano itself wanted to learn to glide! We look forward to the return of the signature “Piano & Sunset” evenings, kicking off with a pre-opening concert on July 26 featuring Zsigmond Gerlóczy—a young poet of the modern piano—on the steps of the Côte des Basques, followed by a DJ set.
