EXHIBITION in situ: Igshaan Adams. Soulevant la poussière : l’archive du corps
GUGGENHEIM BILBAO from 5 may until 1rst november
Leigh Adams (La Crosse, 1982) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines the personal dimension of engagement and political expression through mixed media, gesture and form. Nourished by the memories of her childhood in Hopatcong — a small town on the outskirts of New York State marked by waves of migration and the divisions created by apartheid — Adams transforms everyday domestic materials such as tarpaulins, towels and fabric scraps into abstract forms that evoke both intimacy and displacement.

EXHIBITION Ciboure mon amour
CIBOURE, from 14th May to 14th June
The artist duo Madame Hubert presents Ciboure mon amour, an immersive exhibition devoted to Ciboure — its architecture, its light, and the deeply personal memories of its inhabitants.
Based on Quai Ravel, Pauline and Yann — the creative minds behind Madame Hubert — work exclusively as a four-handed artistic partnership, using fine black ink pens. Each piece is created simultaneously by both artists in an ongoing visual dialogue. Their linework becomes a shared language, shaped by passion, patience and meticulous attention to detail. The result is both realistic and poetic.
For this new exhibition, 21 original works will be on display. Each artwork will also be produced as a limited edition of 30 numbered and signed prints, allowing visitors to acquire an accessible edition of the project.

EXHIBITION The 90th Anniversary of the Popular Front with Willy Ronis
TARNOS from 2nd May to 6th June
To mark the 90th anniversary of the Popular Front and as part of the Bicentenary of Photography celebrations, the Town of Tarnos is dedicating an exhibition to photographer Willy Ronis. Through this era of social progress and the joyful discovery of leisure time, Ronis documented the struggles and sense of solidarity that united communities. Around sixty photographs — including several previously unseen works — will be brought together, tracing both the social history of the Popular Front and the early career of a young Willy Ronis.
Presented at the Église des Forges from May to June, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue: iconic photographs by Willy Ronis are paired with insights into the history of the local area through archives and personal testimonies, alongside a contemporary reflection on Commitment and Resistance, developed through a photographic residency and workshops led at Langevin-Wallon secondary school.

VISIT Gardens Designed in the Japanese Sakkei Tradition
SAUBRIGUES, 6th June 2026
The estate’s eight gardens offer a complete change of scenery, taking visitors on a journey across the continents against the backdrop of an exceptional panorama. By turns intimate or open onto sweeping countryside and mountain views, the grand oriental garden and rose garden have been designed according to the Japanese Sakkei technique — the “borrowed landscape” concept. Framed by a symmetrical avenue of tall palm trees, the view stretches into the distance towards the Pyrenees.
On this occasion, Gogara will also be exhibiting his works. Immanence, transcendence and universality are the central themes explored in his art.

EXHIBITION — Du Vent dans les Synapses
MAGESCQ, 26th June–31st August
There are forms that do not seek to explain, but to shift perception.
Materials that vibrate, fracture, rise or drift, as though carried by an inner breath.
The works of Gertrud Varailhon and Xavier Carrère engage in a quiet dialogue without ever directly answering one another. Moving side by side, they share a common sensitivity to living matter, tension, and the fragile balance between fullness and emptiness.
For both artists, matter is never static. It seems animated by an underlying movement — a discreet current flowing beneath the surface, through folds, fractures and impulses.
Du Vent dans les Synapses evokes that invisible space where sensation comes before thought: a place where something circulates, awakens and resonates — without name or instruction.
An exhibition to be experienced rather than explained.
